Spring Brings Unity

<>::<>SPRING<>::<>

With Spring here...FINALLY, I must say what I get excited about the most is getting my Chacos out! The Z tan has begun and I am still as proud to show it off as I was my freshman year of college. Oh the small things in life! But really ------ what are some joys that we can pull out of Spring finally arriving with all its splendor? The obvious are the wonderful colors that "spring up" from what it seems like years of a bland, grey, and dreary winter. The rain that makes the grass like a green plush pillow that you could just lay in and be comforted by for hours (forgetting the bugs and whatever else that might be in it). Finally being able to be outdoors with family and friends, cookouts, bonfires, a game or two of volleyball or ultimate frisbee, etc. Spring brings unity. It forces us outside of our four walls that we call a home and into the beautiful landscape set before us that our great and wonderful Father has prepared to explore together.

I cannot describe what joy it brings me to be surrounded by the people I love. It is how the Lord designed us and longs for us to live. He never intended for us to stray away from "togetherness" and run to independence. Our world praises those who accomplish things on their own and with their own resources and power, but I'm telling you when we recognize that WE cannot do this - LIFE - on our own it is so FREEING!

You are not alone. We are not alone.

My challenge in finding joy in spring is to not let my flesh pull me back into independence, but to push me out of my comfort zone even more and seek out more relationships, wisdom, encouragement, honesty, and truth from others. How can I do this practically? Being intentional is key. We can't always wait for someone else to ask to go to coffee or lunch! I must seek out those relationships and opportunities and hopefully that will be returned with the same intentionality on their part.

Who would want to go through this life alone? Thankfully we don't even have that option in Christ! Praising Him for Spring and so thankful He has aloud me to Find Joy in His creation - in nature and in the relationships/people He has placed in my life!

How does spring bring you joy?

Go Find it -
